Check out this new #research on #tropical restoration! "Bat life in #OsaConservation’s restoration plots teems with diversity," said lead author Elene HA (She/Elle), who discovered "unexpected #diversity" in areas undergoing active forest #restoration. Congrats to the team! #OpenAccess

Researchers have been working to restore a deforested area of Costa Rica’s Osa peninsula and these recorded 'animal fights' show that their efforts are paying off (warning: distressing) Learn more: go.nowth.is/35rzvvv

I was lucky to climb up to the top of an Endangered giant Styphnolobium sporadicum tree in the Osa Peninsula. Heavy rain but always a fantastic feeling to be in the canopy! Great thanks Osa Conservation for their great work preserving this paradise and its threatened trees!

New #research in Conservation Biology shows human impact on #wildlife including #endangered tapirs, jaguars, pumas, etc. With #communitysupport, this network deployed the largest camera-trap grid in #CentralAmerica to study #biodiversity in #CostaRica's #OsaPeninsula.

Funds raised for the Global Botanic Garden Fund have supported many projects over the years, like the work by the San Francisco Botanical Garden where it helped fund their mission of conserving rare magnolias through grafting! Every #PlantConservationEdition bottle will help fund more projects like this

TRACKING ELUSIVE #TAPIRS!🍃At #Osaconservation & Costa Rica Wildlife Foundation, we track endangered Baird's tapirs w/ GPS collars to assess movement & habitat usage. This helps focus #restoration efforts & increase community engagement w/ these #ecosystem engineers. 📸: Frank Rosell & David Vela

#DidYouKnow? Magnolias are among the oldest flowering plants. They evolved long before bees and instead relied on beetles to pollinate their flowers 🐞 📸Jackson Xu - FFI
