The Bondi Junction killer was a 40 year old man who arrived from Queensland last month. Terrorist motivation has been all but ruled out. “It would appear this was related to the mental health of the individual involved.”

It’s now been ~30 minutes since claims of ballistic missile use. If they were correct, we’d have confirmed reports of impacts or intercepts by now.

Ballistic missiles may still be used, but I now believe that earlier claims of their use were incorrect.

Continue to be cautious about claims of ballistic missile use.

Iran’s reckless attacks endanger the lives of many in the region - Israelis and Palestinians are both at risk from these actions, along with Jordanians and other partners whose airspace is being exploited.

3/2 foregone surprise and at this stage haven’t used coordinated strikes from its proxies to any, or any great degree. Yet. Still a lot to play out to determine what will satisfy #Iran and what #Israel will accept.

1/2: In the rather strange theatre of retaliation, Iran’s pre-warned, slow-motion multi-drone attack appears to be designed for maximum media impact with limited impact. Multiple air defences have been warned along the route, limiting chances of drones getting through to targets.

Are there sirens now in potential impact areas in Israel? That’d be a sign that reports of incoming ballistic missiles are correct.
