Photos by #RUFmentor Carlos Osorio for @canadianpress. “Millions of bees buzzed on a Burlington Road after a truck transporting them swerved, and hives tumbled onto the road. Local beekeepers from the area arrived to help get most of the bees back into their hives. “

Did some meaningful work last year that got published for the new year! My first photojournalism piece for The Narwhal on how two Anishinaabeg farmers are strengthening Flemo & Scarborough! Many thanks to Denise Balkissoon & Michelle Cyca for helping me bring this story to life.

So far we count ten Canadian photographers (or hired by Canadian publishers) at the Olympics. 3 are women. One of the women is indigenous. Help us change these numbers for the next Olympics by creating opportunities and mentorship. Our country is made greater by diverse voices.
