Hello, it is a fact that if you have a highly qualified educator in a 22-child ECCE session, it gets ZERO net additional via Core Funding. Hasn't increased in 4yrs, so a MAJOR erosion in take-home pay for the owner. That's just one reason we're closing 1/7 🧵 Micheál Martin

The take-home pay is the profit of the business, it is an owners WAGE which has been eaten into by inflation, regulatory costs etc. for years. Core Funding was promised as a solution, but it's a mess. Hundreds of providers left without viability but with yet more extra admin.

Why is education being removed from our Early Years EDUCATORS qualifications? ECEC is used worldwide. Personally I find this disrespectful.
