This #IDAHOBIT marks 4 years since the House first passed the #EqualityAct. Since then, anti-LGBTQI+ laws have been on the rise here at home and around the world. We must do more to ensure that LGBTQI+ people have the same protections and fundamental rights as everybody else.

Harvey Milk dedicated his life to ensuring that LGBTQ+ people are treated with both dignity and respect- a cause he would die for. We can all learn from Milk's legacy, and use it to inspire us to fight discrimination wherever it arises. #HarveyMilkDay

Today, the EU took a key step in holding Meta accountable because no one is above the law. Failing to hold Meta accountable for their egregious behavior would undermine the GDPR & its effectiveness. Meta needs to reform their systems to ensure they can protect users’ privacy.

My last letter as a Member of Congress was sent to President Donald J. Trump tonight, urging him to award the Medal of Honor posthumously to Rhode Islander First Sergeant Peter Andrew McKenna. He is a true American hero who embodied the very best of our country and our shared American values.
