Today’s Budget should be the final chapter of fourteen years of Tory economic failure.

Taxes are rising, prices are going up in the shops and we have been hit by recession.

Britain is worse off under the Conservatives. Nothing Jeremy Hunt says or does today can change that.

The UK Government should use today’s Budget to respond to our calls for them to contribute to coal tip remediation in Wales, addressing an issue which long pre-dates devolution but one which we are nonetheless already investing significant resources in.

Wales holds a special place in so many of our hearts.

We share a sense of togetherness that runs so much deeper than the forces of division that seek to diminish us.

It gives me hope about our future.

This lack of engagement from the UK Government while our steel industry faces this threat is appalling.

I'm working with GMB Union, Community Union and UniteWales to do all we can to win the best deal for steel, not the cheapest deal.

Welsh Labour’s new leader will have to take us through a general election within months, and a Senedd election not long after that.

One candidate is clearly best placed to do that and see as many Labour gains as possible.

Vaughan has a 28% lead with Welsh Labour voters.
