Miriam Rothschild was a Royal Entomological Society member for 70+ years and its 1st female president. An expert on fleas, she complied 'An Illustrated Catalogue to the Rothschild Collection of Fleas'. She also worked as a codebreaker at Bletchley Park during WWII #womeninSTEM #ALD23

#OTD 1945 Lorna Iris Scott (1895-1894) became a Fellow of the The Linnean Society of London. She studied botany at Royal Holloway College under Margaret Jane Benson FLS (1859-1936).
