Today was the leave day for the @RIATCDTDET Main Camp - I hope they all had a brilliant weekend. It’s left the campsite massively empty, made all the more empty by the Extended Camp cadets and staff hiding in the bunkers from the heat! #hottestdayoftheyear

After hiding in the bunkers from yesterday’s heat & only managing a little bit of work, today the cadets have absolutely rocked the #RIAT22 @RIATCDTDET camp strike! Teamwork, leadership & camaraderie all coming together to demonstrate how brilliant the RAF Air Cadets are! #airtattoo

Campsite coming down nicely this morning. The only tents left are the ones that were slept in last night. I was at the hangar last Saturday carrying on with the tent recovery post-RIAT etc., but forgot to Tweet as I’m rubbish as Social Media.

I helped deliver a Basic Radio Operator course last Sunday, but forgot to Tweet about it as I’m sometimes poor at Social Media Comms… (radio but unrelated photo)

And finally… Today I’ve been back in the hangar. 2FTS National Air & Space Camp returned the loaned tents and beds. I had a good chat with our OC IT about next @RIATCDTDET IT needs and I patched a depressing number of holes in ground sheets. Early leave today though as I’m off to a Dining-In Night!

More tent sorting today for the team of RAFAC volunteers too; this time 9’x9’s. We’ve not had much experience of these, so it was off to the Internet for the packing list…
