Cultural intelligence (CQ) is no longer a "nice-to-have" in healthcare. It’s a must-have. CQ serves as a vital tool in our quest for equity, safety, and enriching experiences for all women, babies, and the dedicated staff who provide care. Full post link in the comments ⬇️

Honored to be invited to City St George's, University of London today to facilitate a session on risk in midwifery practice with MSc students. From the feedback, I’m confident that today’s session on the personalised care to ensure safety will positively impact the maternity experiences of many.

I have since met with representatives from MNSI and there have been some positive changes as a result. However my concerns about their approach to safety remain. I explain why here: x.com/quashiemichell… linkedin.com/pulse/review-m…

Joyce Harper Tasha Gandamihardja I won't do screening tests UNLESS I've got truthful information. All screening has harms, very few have benefits at individual choice level. Noone should persuade others to waste time, put up risk of mastectomy & for no death benefit. See the data here dailymail.co.uk/health/article…

We're asking for parents who've had a PMRT review or MNSI investigation at any time after January 1st 2019 to use your voice to change care. We have developed a survey to capture parents' views and experiences of these processes. The survey is here - qualtrics.manchester.ac.uk/jfe/form/SV_2o…

The RCOG has published an updated version of our patient information resource on outpatient hysteroscopy (OPH). This resource has been developed to provide women with clear information around what to expect from an OPH appointment to support informed decision making. (1/2)

I’m pleased to see that Birthrights have released a statement in response to the recently published MNSI briefing paper on “Birthing Outside of Guidance” — (What does that even mean? 🫣🤷🏼‍♀️) It not ok for public funded investigations to stray away from human rights-based care.
