No it's shameful

Thank you Jess Phillips for reading the names of women killed by male suspects in the last year. There are still far too many. We need to see urgent action from leaders across government and all public agencies to tackle violence against women & girls and prevent future deaths.

"At least half of the names I'm about to read out out could have been saved." This is heartbreaking & utterly unacceptable. Thank you Jess Phillips for continuously speaking out to help women and children. We must see systemic change to achieve a society where all women are safe.

Sadly, we must acknowledge that justice isn't always served, and perpetrators of abuse can sometimes never be held accountable. But in the face of injustice, we must persist. We work tirelessly to advocate for the rights of every victim #ThePush4Change #Episode2 #ThePush #Live

Newly qualified probation officers have to pick up very complex cases well before they have had a chance to embed their learning and develop their practice. ECSL is adding even more pressure on an under resourced over stretched probation service. Napo the Union

Probation staff were not informed that the extension was up to 60 days. They found out by watching the news. This is simply not good enough given the massive impact this has on their workloads and stress levels.

25 December 2024: Joanne Pearson, 38 was stabbed to death at a flat in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. Teohna Grant, 24 was also killed. A man and boy were also seriously injured. Jazwell Brown, 49 has been charged with double murder, double attempted murder and harming an animal.
