We met and worked with Fr Martin on many occassions, his words to us from 2019 sum up very succinctly his Priestly life, find God in the simple, little ways of Life. He did that. May he Rest in the peace of Christ #rip

Perhaps if the Government hadn't so dramatically reduced Facility Time across Whitehall, we'd see better productivity and fewer strikes as issues could be resolved at an earlier stage through grown-up negotiation between employers and employees.

Father Martin Chambers was such an incredibly kind soul, he was so well liked by people of all faiths & none. He will be missed across the communities he served in Kilmarnock & more recently in Troon. He was a humble servant of his faith & to our community. May he rest in peace.

Absolutely heartbreaking news about the passing of Fr Martin Chambers.

Martin was a much loved family friend and feature of so many joyful family occasions. I will forever cherish the time spent with him in Ecuador.

Archbishop Nolan said he was shocked and saddened at the news of Bishop-elect Chambers death at the age of 59. 'Martin's death is a huge loss not only to his own diocese, and the diocese of Dunkeld where he had been appointed bishop, but for the whole Catholic Church in Scotland.

It is with deep shock and sorrow that we announce the death of Fr Martin Chambers, Bishop-elect of Dunkeld Diocese, who died this morning.
Fr Chambers was due to be ordained Bishop of Dunkeld on 27th April.
Just last week he travelled to Lourdes to pray for his new diocese.
