Great to see my 日本生態学会 award article out in Ecological Research with Takehiro Sasaki: there's been interest in response diversity for years, but still not much empirical (or theoretical!) work formalising the links between response diversity and stability. We ask 'why not?'

It was a pleasure to host the Thematic Program and Workshop on 'The Future of Response Diversity and Ecosystem Stability' throughout March. Thank you to the scientific organizers Dr Sam Ross and Owen Petchey and to all participants.
