Today, GGGI member #MyanmarOceanProject released a report revealing the wide reaching impact of #ghostgear on Myanmar’s Myeik Archipelago. 🐟 Researchers found ALDFG at 95% of surveyed locations 🐟 31% of those sites are ghost gear hotspots 🐟 1800kg of ALDFG was removed

So close that u can see each & every pore of this shark’s electro-sensory system! In murky waters where visibility may be zero, these sharks can key in on all their other specialized senses to navigate & find prey! I guess hundreds of millions of years of evolution pays off!
