WATCH - The House of Lords European Union Committee has stated that under Article 50 we can leave the EU and not have to pay them anything. The PM says that we must hand over £39 billion. Peter Bone asks who's right and who's wrong. #DitchTheDeal #Brexit

'The best thing that Keir Starmer could have done today, and that he singularly failed to do, was to sack Lord Hermer as the Attorney General.' Tom Pursglove says Labour can’t tackle the migrant crisis with Lord Hermer still in post.

The murder of Charlie Kirk is a tragedy, and a sign of the utter desperation and cowardice of those who could not defeat him in argument. Charlie Kirk has been killed not for espousing extremist views - because he didn’t. He has been killed for saying things that used to be

One in a thousand, two in a thousand, or three in a thousand - that's no deterrent. If you're an illegal migrant, you fancy your chances of beating those odds and staying if you get here. The fact is this scheme is no deterrent, as anyone with an ounce of common sense can see.

It's really clear what steps need to be taken to address these illegal crossings & I will keep urging those on 'the right' to come together with consensus and make it happen. What remains clear is 'the left' do not have the ideas, the conviction or the courage to resolve this.

David was a lovely man and I was lucky enough to work with him. @katieAmess Is running an amazing campaign to get a full public inquiry, I hope she succeeds. #justiceforsirdavid

A new low. We already have right to work, rent and bank checks, with increasing biometric capabilities. This new 'Digital ID' will impinge on the freedoms - "Papers please!" - of the law abiding majority and won't make a shred of difference to the problem it purports to solve.

I am firmly opposed to Keir Starmer’s digital ID cards. It will make no difference to illegal immigration, but it will be used to control and penalise the rest of us. The state should never have this much power.

First came ID cards, but there is no point to ID cards unless they’re being checked. Check points in the UK that stop people going about their own business. If this about stopping illegal immigrants all Keir Stammer needs do is get his lawyer mates allow us to police our border.

Tonight we remembered our late President and dear friend, Sir David Amess - 4 years on from his tragic murder. It was a beautiful service at St Peter's Catholic Church and some of our ambassadors performed Music is Magic during a period of reflection. We send our love and prayers

Last week I was attacked for pointing out that parts of Birmingham were a failure of integration. But now Israeli football fans are banned from watching their team play at Villa Park as the police can’t guarantee their safety. Maybe I wasn’t wrong after all.

Possibly the future MP for Doncaster North parks his British car, next to a British flag, in the car park of his British pub. 😎🇬🇧

Staggering. Huge questions for Ministers over this - this criminal has been on the loose since the 29th October and only is this being acknowledged today. Public safety is at risk. Earlier assurances worthless. So what did Ministers know and when? Where's the accountability?

Not being straight with the House is always a grave error of judgement, however inconvenient or embarrassing. As Jack Straw wisely counseled: if things go wrong, go to the House, apologise, own it, and explain what you're going to do about it. Lammy ought to heed that advice.
