120+ hours & eight weeks later & the Planning & Development Bill 2023 has passed Committee Stage in the Oireachtas.

This is the 3rd largest piece of legislation in the history of the Oireachtas & has consistency, certianty & clarity for all users at its core.

🏘️ Building began on 11,956 homes in the first three months of 2024 - up 63% on the same time in 2023.

Huge progress has been made since 2015. More homes are being built and bought than in a generation and we're building more homes than the previous two governments combined.

Today the Dail voted to send the EU migration pact for detailed scrutiny to the Justice Committee, followed by a full debate in the Dáil on the matter.

At the weekend I outlibed to Fianna Fáil members the range of measures which we have brought in to address the housing crisis over the past 3 years. We have a lot done but also a lot more to do.

The grave humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and the desperate need to return some hope to this region is still an urgent priority.

It is my intention to bring to government a formal proposal on recognition of a Palestinian State when wider international discussions are complete.
