This week, M3T (Mountaineer Mathematics Master Teachers) held its 5th-annual Summer Institute and welcomed 41 Fellows (middle and high school math teachers) from 30 counties across the state for four days of sharing, learning, and leading in math education.

The Vikings are state bound and regional Champs!!! Lucas Riggleman shot 79, Payton Berg 79, Colton Taylor 86, and Willie Minnich 87. The Vikings now move on to the state tournament on October 8th and 9th. Wheeling here we come! Let's go Vikings!

George Hott, 97, of Moorefield, one of earliest inductees into Shepherd University Athletics Hall of Fame, former pro athlete and coach for the Yellow Jackets, died Thursday. Of note, his baseball team delivered Jefferson's first loss in history in 1973.

Fun fact, Moorefield has had just 3 baseball coaches since George Hott spurned the Washington Redskins to take the job in 1957. He’s a member of the WV Baseball Coaches association HOF
