There is clear evidence that Apple’s tax advisor worked with the Irish Revenue Commissioners to let them off with a 2% tax rate. And that in 2007, they got their tax rate lower than 1%. The Irish state spent €8 million in legal fees to help Apple keep this money. #Apple #EU

What we heard from Simon Coveney is biggest load of contradictory, inconsistent nonsense I’ve heard for a long time. Either people are to follow public health advice or they aren’t and it’s clear the govt are abandoning public health in favor of airline profits Morning Ireland

Speaking now in #Dail now on scandalous move by FF/FG/Green gov to give junior ministers a 16k pay increase on top of 124k salary. This while taxi drivers & arts workers are on their knees, students without summer jobs pay fees, nurses & teachers suffer pay inequality! People Before Profit

Ministerial Clap Rather than giving the three 'super' junior ministers another €16,000 on top of their €124,000 - Richard Boyd Barrett suggests giving them a round of applause like they gave healthcare workers on the frontline #Dail #corruptkip

The Fianna Fáil-Fine Gael-Green Party government have just voted through the Residential Tenancies and Valuation Bill, paving the way for a surge of new evictions into homelessness on the grounds of sale, use or refurbishment. #HomesForAll

Trouble to start in #Dail now as Gov try ram thru plan to silence voice of smaller left/ind groups-we are a thorn in their side & they want to shut us up.Disgraceful sabotage of democracy with support of Greens. They will even vote down business cttee proposal to debate issue!

Richard Boyd Barrett (@rboydbarrett) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Disgraceful behaviour by FF/FG/Greens tonight as they set out proposals to gag and marginalise the left. The arrogance and entitlement of these groups is just shocking. youtu.be/8HQywbbqnm8?li…

sickening stuff by gov. They hoped to push thru a dramatic attack on democracy to allow them to be both Gov & opposition in #Dail ,late at night on last day of Dail, hoping no-one would notice. This skullduggery is a small glimpse how FG/FF really run this country on all issues

Richard Boyd Barrett (@rboydbarrett) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Small left parties / Inds just walked out together from #Dail .The Gov have taken a carving knife to democracy & diverse opinion in our Parliament. The ruthless, arrogant, undemocratic Fine Gael Fianna Fáil tragically being propped by greens showed true colors tonight People Before Profit

We raised the issue of meat plants repeatedly during first wave of Covid-19. We were stonewalled, told we were trying to "smear" major food processors that were putting workers at risk. Now workers' health being jeopardised again & these clusters could contribute to a second wave

With the R-rate for Covid-19 now at 1.8 across the island of Ireland, we are running a serious risk of a second wave of the virus. Yet governments North and South continue to put workers and vulnerable people at risk. Read more 👇👇👇 pbp.ie/failure-to-pro…

Increased restrictions: Kildare, Laois and Offaly due to clusters in meat plants, where workers are still working in unsafe conditions. Workers still being put at risk. This in turn is risking further spread in the community. Unsafe workplaces must be inspected and sanctioned.

People Before Profit (@pb4p) 's Twitter Profile Photo

90% of meat plant workers still don't get sick pay. They are still forced to work in overcrowded conditions. Kildare, Laois & Offaly lockdown necessary now but was entirely avoidable if these workers had been adequately protected.

Scenes at a Dublin restaurant last weekend were worrying, but the establishment have used the incident to bury any talk of meat plants & move on. Workers & wider community continue to be put at risk because govt refuses to confront the agri-corporations. pbp.ie/why-are-we-bei…

I wonder how HSE Ireland would feel if a child in my daughters class tested positive for Covid 19, my daughter wasn't tested and I went to work in the nursing home non the wiser. Absolute disaster waiting to happen. Everyone in a small class room is a close contact
