Telling a Muslim woman she is not allowed to talk about her own experiences of racism is clear Islamophobia.

🔴 SMETHWICK: having served last night on NEC panel which sacked Faiza Shaheen in Chingford, & selection panels today - included that which picked McSweeney favourite Uma Kumaran for Stratford & Bow - NEC member Gurinder Singh Josan was himself picked as candidate for Smethwick.

TLDR: “Labour to Win” organiser didn’t get one of their preferred seats so they bumped a local candidate in a seat elsewhere to parachute her in.
