From attending virtual patient clinics, learning about pharmacy procurement processes, and dispensing prescriptions, take a look at the highlights as Dr Fay Gilder, medical director, spent #ADayintheLifeOf our pharmacy team.

Today, Stephanie Lawton, chief operating officer, is spending #ADayintheLifeOf our theatres team. First up, Steph is taking part in the handover and briefing meetings ahead of surgeries taking place.

This afternoon, Steph has supported with the WHO surgical checklist, which provides surgical teams with a simple and efficient set of priority checks to ensure patient safety, effective teamwork, and communication in every operation performed. #ADayintheLifeOf

As part of Steph’s #ADayintheLifeOf experience, she is helping to transfer patients from the theatre to the recovery unit (Alexandra Day Stay Unit) for further monitoring and assessments to ensure that they are safe to be discharged home.

Great celebration! Happy Diwali

Today, Sharon mcnally, chief nurse and deputy chief executive, joined our physiotherapy team for #ADayInTheLifeOf. She joined speech & language therapist Tracey on Harold Ward where they visited patients, made up thickening fluids, and analysed a video of a patient swallowing.

Before lunch, Sharon mcnally went down to NICU, where she joined the ward round and assisted paediatric dietitian Loukia with nutritional reviews for the babies in the Special Care room #ADayInTheLifeOf #PAHTPeople
