A pleasure to attend the launch of the #StateOfTheYouthUG Report, together with Denis Hamson Obua, HON ODOI BERNARD MUTUSA, John Jessy🇺🇬, EU Youth Sounding Board in Uganda 🇪🇺🇺🇬 & many young Ugandans. The report has been funded by #TeamEurope through GIZ Uganda/Civil Society in Uganda Support Programme (CUSP) & captures aspirations & concerns of youth in Uganda.

Today our team participated in the annual State of the Youth Report 2024 launch. The report serves as a barometer of government investment in young people and assesses progress towards the demands outlined in the 2021–2026 National Youth Legislative Agenda. #StateOfTheYouthUG

What a privilege it was for me today to lead the launch of the #StateOfTheYouthUG report 2023/24. This is a defining moment for us the policy makers and stakeholders to focus on key issues for the young people. Thank you EU in Uganda ,GIZ Uganda among other partners for the support.

Uganda remains among the 30 countries globally with the highest burden of TB reporting over 94,000 cases annually. Of these, 36,000 are co-infected with HIV & 12,000 have drug-resistant TB. Strengthening prevention, treatment & care is critical in achieving a TB free world.
