The OS HBCU committee took 28 students to tour the campus of Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo, on Friday, April 12, 2024. The student learned about the history of Lincoln University, info on tuition, ate lunch, attended a job fair, and enjoyed each other's company.

Twitter family, Early this morning 🌄 the OS-HBCU committee members and Olathe students (OS and OW) arrived at Olathe South HS to eat breakfast and load up on the Arrow Stage Lines charter bus. We are heading first to the historical Central High School in Litte Rock, Arkansas.

It's an exciting day! We've got students from Olathe South and 2 other Olathe high schools headed to Arkansas to visit the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. 1st stop... Little Rock to visit some historic sites.

Day 1 of our trip was a stop at Little Rock Central High School for a mini tour and history lesson about the school. Then we walked over to the visitor's center. We will be forever grateful to those brave high school students who led the way in desegregating our schools.
