This is the official X account of the Fluids and Plasma group at Física UBA Exactas UBA. We share our latest research, publications, and activities. For more details, check our website (linked in bio). Stay tuned for updates!
Here’s a picture from our latest group meeting with invited Prof. Nobumitsu Yokoi from 東京大学 | UTokyo!
Meet Paola Rodríguez Imazio, a researcher with CONICET at Argentina’s National Weather Service (SMN Argentina)! She’s a key member of the PCAPS Steering Group and the WMO’s Global Cryosphere Watch (GCW Cryosphere), with expertise in Antarctic research and scientific campaigns.
¡Mañana! 😁 Coloquio de estudiantes de doctorado de Física UBA, esta vez con auspicio de UBA Chapter Optica. No olvides traer tu vaso 👀
Meet Nahuel Andrés Nahuel Andrés! He’s a permanent researcher at @CONICET, professor assistant @FisicaUBA, as well as associate researcher at the Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas in France and professor at Universidad de San Andrés. He specializes in turbulent plasma flows.
I’m Very happy for this unique opportunity that was given to me! I’m specially thankful with the organizing committee Ana Amador Pablo Mininni gabo mindlin for thinking about me for this!
🌀❄️ New paper alert! In their latest work, Julián Amette Estrada Julian Amette & Pablo Mininni Pablo Mininni, in collaboration with Marc Brachet from École normale supérieure | PSL studied how rotation affects the critical temperature of Bose-Einstein condensates.
Many thanks to James (jian hui) Guan who served as an Early Career Board Member of Physical Review Fluids this past year. He composed several engaging posts about our journal articles, including the just-posted year in review. And a big welcome to Sofía Angriman who now taking up the reins!
🆕 New paper! Bernardo Español, Manuel Noseda, Pablo Cobelli and Pablo Mininni investigate how local flow geometry shapes particle pair dispersion, combining experiments in von Kármán flow with simulations of Taylor-Green and homogenous and isotropic turbulence.
