One of our experimental setups is the Von Kármán swirling flow. It uses two rotating propellers to create axisymmetric turbulence. By introducing particles and capturing them with ultra-fast cameras, we can reveal the intricate dynamics within!

We just published a new paper! Using the angle between particles' velocity and separation, we can observe the three characteristic dispersion regimes, distinguish between isotropic and anisotropic flows and characterize how the topology of the flow affects the dispersion process!
