And as if to prove my point, at the end of last week "All of the nature friendly amendments [to the planning bill] have been rejected by the government." My door is always open, always happy to talk.

Much of Newton Abbot, downstream from Wolborough Fen is already in a flood risk zone. Building work in this area could increase runoff into the river, + damaging the wetlands will reduce their ability to absorb + slow the flow of that extra water, placing homes downriver at

For all my dear Twitter pals who are stuck inside tonight, walk with me along the quay at Blakeney. The sea has come over the wall and #stormbenjamin has blown in. The wind is icy on our faces and you can feel the cold water through your boots - but we feel so alive!

For all my dear Twitter pals who are stuck inside today, come and breathe deeply on Stiffkey marshes this afternoon. The air feels clean and refreshing and, walking along this path, we could be at any point in history in this timeless landscape.

Ian Blewett We are living in a parallel universe where everything is broken. Every decision flawed. Every piece of history rewritten and used against us. Every spoken word a lie. Even Orwell didn’t believe it could be this bad.

This is the not-so-lovely aspect of Norfolk. Being able to buy a council house, demolish it to make a larger house to rent out - building work to take 3 years - but the neighbours are in their 90s, is immoral. edp24.co.uk/news/25558792.…

For all my dear Twitter pals who are stuck indoors today, cone and stand on the prom at Sheringham this afternoon. The wind is strong in our faces and the air is full of tiny droplets of icy rain - but the sea makes you feel alive and connected to nature.

For all my dear Twitter pals who are stuck indoors today, come on a walk down a Norfolk woodland ride with me. The freshness from the pine trees scent the air and the leaf-litter and beech mast on the ground feel like a cushion beneath our feet. So peaceful.

For all my dear Twitter pals who are stuck inside today, come and have a burst of serenity with the geese this afternoon. It’s chilly, but so lovely to be beside the water.

For all my dear Twitter pals who are stuck indoors today, come and stand with me as we watch a flock of Pink-footed geese whiffle down to feed on the field. Cars roar past us, but we are hidden by the hedge as we watch these long-distance visitors to Norfolk. Such a joy.

For all my dear Twitter pals who are stuck indoors today, come and listen to the excellent bell-ringers who are ringing in our corner of Norfolk this Friday morning. The church bells are sounding excellent!
