Glad to greet the trilliums Lowther Castle & Gardens today - and wonderful to see the groundwork for all the new planting to come. Hopefully candelabra primula and ferns will bloom again?

Early Spider Orchid (Ophrys sphegodes) 24.03.24. Saw a few hundred with open flower on a 10km walk from Durlston to Dancing Ledge and back. A high number for March 24th - though a long way to go before the slopes are peppered with them.
