Homelessness minister evicted four tenants from an east London townhouse before hiking the rent by hundreds of pounds. Rushanara Ali increased the rent on the four-bedroom property from £3,300 to £4,000 after throwing out the previous tenants. standard.co.uk/news/politics/…

The rooster taking credit for the dawn (again). Kent County Council external debt has been falling for years because the last administration kept new borrowing under control while debt was repaid. In February’s budget it was projected to fall again in 2025-26. And amazingly enough, it has.

Pretty desperate when you’re trying to take credit for the work of others Nigel Farage MP. KCC's borrowings have been falling in recent years and this reduction is a continuation of the financial plan that the Conservative administration left you. Where’s the money, Nigel?

Andrew Neil Jolyon Maugham is a barrister which gives some indication that the profession is not always bestowed either with the font of all knowledge or commonsense.

James Cartlidge MP 🇬🇧 🇺🇦 Kemi Badenoch Keir Starmer cannot be let off hook for this. Each household in Britain will pay over £1,200 to give each household in Mauritius over £94,000 and all for something which we have for free at the moment. This is sheer lunacy.

Rachel Reeves is on course to deliver a Healey 1976-style crisis in late 2025 or 26. Like Healey, she has massively boosted public spending, borrowing and taxes - fuelling both demand-pull and cost-push inflation. Unless policies are reversed we are heading for an economic crash!

Possibly the worst candidate imaginable. A genuine ideological bigot, causing untold harm to children across the spectrum: private school children ripped from their friends mid-year; state school children having a dumbed-down anti-intellectual curriculum imposed on them.

Since I broadcast this yesterday Merck has announced it’s mothballing a billion pound investment in the UK because of an uncompetitive environment. In some ways this is even more important than Ineos pull out. We’re meant to be a world leader in pharma.

What I can’t understand is how this guy didn’t clock that these appalling posts would likely spell end of his Oxford Union career and even his place at University of Oxford - clearly no ability to think consequences

Could you imagine Starmer's reaction if Boris Johnson had ignored MI6 and hired a crony in place of a universally respected career diplomat? He's be red faced, spluttering, stammering, and squealing for his resignation. He needs to go now.

Between the UK's disastrous & entirely unnecessary "deal" over Friends of the British Overseas Territories and now recognising a Palestinian Hamas-stan (we need to be realistic about what will inevitably happen), Keir Starmer probably the worst foreign policy British PM since 1945

Muddleheaded and idiotic to the core. As Piers Morgan concludes after 7+ minutes of waffle “I don’t think the viewers have a clue what you think!”

France has ID cards - look at the immigration problems they are giving us. America does not - Trump has cut illegal migration by 90%+. Labour are lying to us when they say their off-manifesto ‘Brit Card’ will solve anything. Only hard work and honesty will stop the small boats.

All this guy has done in his life is stacked shelves in a Co-op now...now he is Fib Dems spokesperson on trade. Couldn't make it up.

If there is one objective illustration of just how useless the UK’s political class is, it is that an island sitting on oil, gas, coal and an inventor of nuclear power now pays more than almost anyone else in the world for power.

Nationalised railways = Soviet service. Since the takeover, SWR delays up 29%, cancellations up 50%, long-lates doubled. Evidence that when the state runs it, you wait on the platform. 🚉 #RailFail #SocialismDoesntWork
