Earlier today, shortly after Rishi Sunak confirmed 2.5% Ministry of Defence 🇬🇧 spending, I spoke to UK Defence Industrial leaders to underline my determination that this long-term funding enables ‘always on’ munitions production - as promised in my February statement on acquisition reform.

The UK will spend 2.5% of GDP on defence by the end of the decade.

The Prime Minister has today announced an extra £75 billion for defence over the next six years, securing our freedoms and driving prosperity in a more dangerous world.
