Adam and Eve wearing rather fetching grass/fur sarongs at St Peter's, Church Langton.
The addition of the grave digging tools and scythe with an oversized skull top left is rather fun, almost an afterthought.

A “Stirling Head” - some of the best surviving Scottish C16 wood-carvings. They are brilliant! 56 heads with images of kings, queens, courtiers, Romans &others decorated a ceiling in Stirling Castle, but it collapsed. 38 survive, most displayed in the Castle. 📸 own

Puro dinamismo

The Medieval church was renovated in 1758, and then given a cosmetic makeover by G G Scott, the proposal for complete rebuilding put forward by E B Lamb having been rejected by Diocesan Architect G E Street as 'full of eccentricity'!

Taking the slow (and not always direct) road to Shropshire, we found ourselves near Patricio (alt sp. Partrishow) and the church and shrine of St. Issui. The church retains its early C16 rood screen, intricately carved in oak.

The Priory Church of Holy Trinity at Micklegate in York - a former Benedictine monastery. The main body of the church is mostly 13th century in date, while the tower dates to the mid-15th century. 📸 My own.
