These Wayne Trail students have been selected to participate in the NWO Children’s Music Festival. Catch a glimpse of their excitement as they began rehearsing this morning in preparation for the special event! They are meeting twice a week outside of class time and loving it! 🎶

The combination of the Maumee Bands and Maumee Orchestra made for an amazing concert tonight. Bravo to both.

@LauraBenanti Here’s one of the last vocal rehearsals my students had before we had to indefinitely postpone our performance of Footloose, originally slated to open a week from tonight.

Seeing our students coming together to make music while I’m on maternity leave just makes my day! Now we all have to be apart for a while with COVID-19 on the rise, but keeping the song in our hearts will keep our spirits up! Stay tuned for a distance learning update next week 🎶

Please welcome Ms. Rachel Thornsberry! She is my long-term substitute while I’m on maternity leave. She is a recent Music Ed graduate and is already loving being in the classroom at FF and WT! Students are in capable hands and I’m so grateful for her presence during this time!

On March 4th, my husband and I welcomed our first child into the world. Meet Liam Harlow! We were singing within the first hour he was born. Students have been so eager for his arrival! 🥰

One of my goals this year is to create 1:1 music kits! Ss would be able to use them in school and take home if need be to use during remote learning. My hope is that music can be uplifting and bring the kids "together" during the challenging days ahead. (1/2)
