I have directed Uganda CAA to expedite the process of settling the PAPs to pave way for the development of Arua Airstrip into an International Airport to handle traffic from Uganda, DRC & South Sudan owing to it's strategic location in the administrative capital of West Nile.

Upon invitation by the Member of Parliament for Ayivu East, Arua City, @GeoffreyFeta I visited Arua Airstrip to discuss Project Affected Persons concerns with local leaders . Arua Airstrip is to be developed into an International Airport to serve as an alternative to Entebbe.

The Maritime Survival Training Centre at the Fisheries Training Institute in Entebbe is now complete.
The 27 by 33 m pool with a depth of 4 m on all sides will be used to conduct Standards of Training, Certification & Watchkeeping, a seafarers minimum level of training.

This afternoon I have led a delegation from Busitema University to the Ministry of Works & Transport to discuss how to operationalise a Cabinet Decision to Start the Uganda Railway Institute to be based at Busitema University .
Meeting was Chaired by the Ministry of Works & Transport Permanent Secretary Mr. Bageya Waiswa.

As part of the Multinational Lake Victoria Maritime Communications & Transport (MLVMCT)Project, the Ministry of Works & Transport Maritime department is currently constructing Search & Rescue Centers located at Zangebe, Panyimur, Kaiso, Kiyindi & Kaazi.
