The removal of headline grades is a generational reform and a landmark moment for children, parents & teachers. It will allow us to drive high and rising standards for all our children in every school. Labour promised change, and now we are delivering.

It is welcome news that the govt has suspended 30 arms export licenses to Israel today. Upholding intl humanitarian law must be central to any export regime. The govt is prioritising civilian lives, release of hostages, getting aid into Gaza and an immediate ceasefire.

Far too many people across our towns and villages struggle to access an NHS dentist. Labour are committed to getting NHS dentistry back on track, and today I met with BDA in Parliament to discuss how we can improve access to NHS dentists.

The previous Ofsted framework simply wasn't working for families or schools. On SEND, it failed to properly hold schools to account on their approach to inclusion. Today, I asked Ministers to ensure we use this reset to ensure Ofsted plays its part in improving SEND provision.

Last night at Wixams Residents Association meeting it was clear that multi-agency work is needed to increase provisions for young people and to prevent the causes of antisocial behaviour in the town. I am inviting partners to convene to discuss this as a matter of urgency.
