We are currently dealing with a RTC on the East Lancs Road between Moorgate Road and the slip road for the M57.
Emergency services are currently at scene and both the east and westbound carriageways of the East Lancs are currently closed. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

The rider of this bike rode on the wrong side of the East Lancashire Road and on pavements around #Croxteth . We decided enough was enough and Tactical Contact was made to protect the public. Unfortunately the rider got away but the bike will be destroyed #taccontact #mrpu

A reminder that we will not tolerate the use of illegal motorcycles on our roads. The rider of this motorcycle was seen riding in a dangerous manner in the St Helens area and tactical contact was used to protect the public. The rider was arrested and the bike will be destroyed.

Isaac has Cerebral Palsy Quadriplegia and due to his disability, he is unable to drive, but it hasn’t stopped him from buying his own car 🚗

Our #OpsBikes have been out working with Matrix, firearms and MVET teams today, to tackle those causing ASB and committing crime on E-Bikes and Electric Motorcycles. Several bikes recovered including a stolen bike and several arrests made throughout the day. Excellent teamwork

We have been directing speed enforcement activity on Blackhorse Hill Rd, Wirral after local people were concerned about speeding motorists.

Tactics include using marked/unmarked police vehicles and handheld speed detection devices.

This little moped was being ridden around without any L plates despite the rider being a provisional licence holder.. This was the least of his problems as he tested positive for #Cannabis when the #drugswipe came out. He was arrested and faces a #disqualification from driving.

Pre emptive multi lane stop carried out on a suspected drink driver on the M62 who was seen to be swerving between lanes and almost colliding with other vehicles. After blowing 100 at the roadside, the driver failed to provide in custody and will be charged #MRPU #SYN1 #FATAL4

The BMW X2 in the background was being driven in an erratic manner on the East Lancashire Road. The driver tested positive for #Cannabis on a #drugswipe despite having his young daughter with him. He was arrested and later failed to provide in custody and was charged.

We stopped to check if this driver was okay on the M62 near to Rainhill. He hadn't broken down, infact, he was in the process of smoking Heroin!! He was clearly unfit and the driver tested positive on a #drugswipe for Cocaine. His drugs were seized and he was taken to custody

This van was seen driving erratically on Walton Hall Avenue - the driver tested positive for #Cocaine on a #drugswipe and was also found in possession of the substance. This is the second time he has been arrested for the same thing this month.

The driver of this #Mercedes put numerous people in danger this morning, colliding with 3 other vehicles and a garden wall. The driver tested positive at the roadside for alcohol. Luckily there were no serious injuries. #THINK #nonefortheroad #fatal4
