Just a few examples of drivers using phone last week which #CityRPU officers dealt with. Please stay off your phone whilst driving as it's a proven cause of collisions (and a proven cause of losing your licence!) #fatal4 45

It’s too easy to get upset or angry by the actions of other drivers. In some cases some foolish people get out of their vehicles and remonstrate with each other or worse.

Anger leads to speed and bad or risky decisions

It’s far too easy to be distracted by your phone when driving. Screen alerts and notifications. Even handsfree use is dangerous.

Put your phone in the phonebox (formally the glovebox) and leave it there for the whole journey. #Fatal4

2x 🚗 stopped this afternoon for exceeding the 7️⃣0️⃣mph limit on the M6toll through Inspector Chris Moss force area.

These speeds are unacceptable❗️Both drivers stopped and reported, they can expect a day in court 👨‍⚖️⚖️

As part of Fatal 4 Month, we are targeting drivers who are committing offences such as using their phones, speeding, drink / drug driving and not wearing a seatbelt.

This driver was stopped on the M6 this morning and admitted texting his mate.

Driver reported.

Last week in Southampton Cops, there was a road traffic collision where the driver did not want to stick around.

PD Bane tracked from the🚗to a nearby address where the driver was located inside.

The male was arrested for driving offences.

#RHPT have been conducting a #Fatal4 operation with Billesley Fire Station

We concentrated on seatbelt offences particularly children who were unrestrained

38 people received bespoke education from the fire service around seatbelts and child restraints

Due to speeding concerns raised by residents in the local area, Pc 783 Mayhew was out yesterday conducting speed enforcement on Halesworth Road in #Holton , RIT and CPT officers will continue to conduct speed enforcement throughout the year across the East. #fatal4 #1330 #RIT2

Arrest | Officers patrolling #Smethwick came across the above vehicle.

Not only did the driver not have insurance but he was also disqualified in February 2024 for drink driving.

Driver now under arrest and will be back before the Judge tomorrow 👨‍⚖️
