#OpsBikes out on patrol in the city this evening, a total of 2 x mobile phones 📱, 4 x Seatbelts 💺, 2 x red lights 🚦, 2 x traffic sign, 1 x bald tyre, 4 x taxi defects and 1 x insecure load dealt with & reported. Even the eagle eyed Sgt picked off a few offences #RoadSafety

Yet more people who put their own convenience before others safety. Imagine some of this insecure load hitting a pedestrian, cyclist or coming through your car window. Driver reported and made to secure the load correctly.

Todays utterly selfish driver is the person who thought it was acceptable to do 137 MPH down the M53. Their observations weren't up to scratch either after passing one of our unmarked cars and finding out the consequences of their actions. Off to court you go!

Excellent work by our #OpBikes patrols yesterday, providing cover for the #EFC #LFC game and also conducting #Fatal4 enforcement including this vehicle in Speke, which was seized after young child observed unrestrained in front seat and driver only a provisional licence holder!

#Stolen motorcycle seen driving in a dangerous manner, then passed an unmarked police vehicle and contravened a red light. Contact was made with the motorcycle at slow speed and both rider and pillion were arrested for a number of offences.

Foreign registered vehicle driven by permanent UK resident stopped in the city. This isn’t permitted and vehicle must be UK registered. #TOR issued and #DVLA informed. More details here: orlo.uk/V81m1

RPU & local patrols dealing with a single vehicle RTC into a field. Young driver having recently passed their test. Thankfully no injuries or damage to much other than their pride so some education given. #DriveToArrive

Lots of excited kids this morning as we paid a visit to Ursuline CP School for their blue light day, along with Mer Pol Mounted Mer Pol South Sefton & MerPol CEU Great to see all the smiling faces and can’t believe they asked us about donuts! 🤣 🍩 💙

The chameleon tinted windscreen, heavily tinted front windows & tinted/ misrepresented reg plate drew our attention to this BMW. Vehicle prohibited as side windows only transmitted 16% light & windscreen 56% which is far lower than required! #Recovered

When you think it’s a good idea to horse around at #AintreeRaces on an illegal electric motorcycle and pop wheelies through the crowd. Only ever one outcome.. Unseated Rider and a fall at the final furlong… After a stewards enquiry the bike was seized.. why the long face 🐎
