Two out of two cars seized so far this afternoon in Preston for no insurance Drive Insured as part of #OpCenturian . Both drivers now facing prosecution, one of which only just got his licence back from being disqualified for no insurance.

Team2RPU (MN38/HT57/HT27), HZ32 (chauffeur to PD Billie), HR20, HR91 attended Poulton to assist WD42 & WD 48 after reports that several males had been disturbed trying to steal cars. 3x males detained close by hiding in bushes by PD Billie and are currently in custody.

We are dealing with an incident whereby this HGV has collided with the central reservation on northbound and crossed onto the southbound carriageway. This has resulted in the motorway being closed J36 to J35 on the southbound. Lane 3 is closed J35 to J36 on northbound #Team4RPU

On Sunday (21st) a vehicle travelling at high speed along the A59 Longton Bypass failed to stop for police and was abandoned in Longton, with the driver making off. Early this morning, a male was located and arrested for dangerous driving and is currently in custody at Preston.

Team2RPU conducted a checksite on Lytham Road, Warton this evening. The following offences were dealt with. 8x TOR excess speed (highest recorded being 51mph). 1x TOR defective tyre. 2x FPN no seatbelt. 3x section 59 warning.

During speed checksite on Flensburg Way, van stopped for driving 22 in a 60. The van was towing another van, unfortunately the towed van driver was not insured. Driver reported for no insurance and advised re smashed winscreen, tinted windows and illegal vrm. #T2RPU

Recently stolen Toyota from Manchester sighted trying to enter Blackpool where HT54 Team2RPU, HZ32 chauffeur to PD Billie and the Road Crime Team were waiting. Car stung to negate any pursuit and 4x occupants arrested. Car recovered.

This Volvo reported stolen overnight in the Blackpool located by an eagle eyed HT54 parked in a carpark. Car recovered back to its grateful owner. Team2RPU.

M6 Lancaster a Vectra was left in lane 1 unlit

It was struck by a coach full of passengers

Despite the picture the coach damage was minor and no injuries

Driver initially not found but #HZ35 found them nearby

This driver was stopped by the Sgt & Insp after driving at a dangerous 120mph on the M55 near to Kirkham!

Such behaviour is totally unacceptable & puts so many people at risk. He has been reported for the offence and will appear at court!

#Team4RPU with Road Crime Team quickly sighted it resulting in a safe stop.
