I represented a mother who was raped by her ex-husband. He tried to convince the court he was a victim of domestic abuse and parental alienation.

This case is an example of abusive men using ‘parental alienation’ to torment and frighten victims. It is DARVO.

Sometimes, when special measures are arranged in court victims are still left to walk to and enter the building alone, exposing them to their abuser. If you have special measures, make sure your lawyer meets you outside court so that you can safely walk in together.

Our hearts go out to Claire Throssell MBE as she tells the story of the loss of her sons, who died after her ex deliberately set fire to his house during a contact visit.

No victim should have to pay thousands of pounds to read what was said about them during a rape trial. The gov’t has a duty to support victims not profit from them.
