we need more research that examines the actions and intents of perpetrators. what is available suggests coercive control is premeditated, calculated, intentional. they are not partners, not parents, they are perpetrators. we need more evidence to demonstrate this...is MHO

reading research drives me crazy sometimes. one study included a definition of ipv that was conceptualized only as either physical violence of sexual violence. another study reported that study as having found that physical violence was the most reported form of domestic violence
