Big Big day. TraumaMasters completed and will be graduating (pending final approval) with a distinction, and a formal job offer from CareFlight to join them in Darwin this February!

Had FLOW in my department all night last night AND receptive and friendly specialty teams from across my own hospital and the wider region. Sick patients identified and went where they needed to, quickly, after appropriate emergency care. My god, what a time to be alive 😍#teamED

Grateful to BBC London for focusing this week on knife violence in children and young people. Across the London Trauma System System we easily see 3000+ stabbings every year, the majority in young people. We do a huge amount to try to rescue these people from the situation

Landed in London to glorious summer sunshine, light evenings and 2 separate people offering to help me with my suitcases on the tube stairs, this is not the country I left but I’m not mad about it. ☀️

Flight delay, missed connection, 24 hours in Singapore. Waiter at the marina bay sands where I took myself for coping-cocktails “you look tired, this one is on me” as he tops up my bubbles 🍾 🥂
