I think my favourite part will be when the AI generated paperwork will be faxed to another clinician...the pinnacle of technological advances.

Does the Minister understand that Canadian medical students/residents training are supported financially by govt?

The idea of losing Canadian MDs is ok & are replaceable by foreign trained MDs makes no economic sense. & frankly is insulting to me as an educator of these trainees

In other words PM Trudeau & Minister Freeland are telling the Canadian population that recruiting more family physicians for the 6M ppl without isn’t a priority.

Increased tax revenue will likely be outweighed by the greater costs to healthcare systems (tho prov not fed issue!)

Patient: I dont have a family physician. Is there a website or centralized list of family physicians who are taking pts? I'm willing to drive far!

Me:😀...but no

Patient: why?

Me: 🤷‍♂️ We seem to only centralize bad ideas in this system...not good ones...

I had 3 unrelated patients ask me during my last shift if I could find them a family physician. Each begging me bc their family physician retired.

No docs I know are taking more patients

I told them to check out pharmacist led clinics that govt thinks solve issue. Good luck 🤷‍♂️

Ontario has completely lost the plot with where it has decided to prioritize healthcare.

Now we have added another layer of fragmentation to patient care.
