Introducing the 2020-2021 Turf Club Co-Presidents: Brooks Primo (Brooks Primo) and Josh Harrop (Harps)!

We would like to thank the 2020 DTM class for an amazing year and we wish them all luck in the future. Also, a special shoutout to outgoing Turf Club Co-Presidents Connor Hamilton (@chamilton_95) and Jacob Mycio (Jacob Mycio) for representing the program and passing the torch.

Very pleased with the revamped clubhouse front lawn @BayviewClub - from vision to reality. Thanks to consulting horticulturalist Angela Bartlett for her expertise and to the team for their hard work.

Providing a product daily that is invite quality⛳️is only made possible by the hard work and dedication of our crew❗️ It’s the little things that counts like this gentleman raking large debris off the fairway...cleans up the area and not to possibly compromise quality of cut 👌🏻

The Team has done an amazing job keeping the golf course ⁦@BayviewClub⁩ in great shape through extreme heat and heavy play.

Starting next week we will begin posting #DTMInternshipUpdates. These updates will let you know where current DTM students are doing their summer internships while also letting you get to know the students a bit more.

Moving on with the #DTMInternshipUpdates with Turf Club Co-President/Class Co-President Harps. Over the first few months of his internship, Josh has been an integral part of a two-hole renovation project at The Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club.

R&D for the Flex21s upgrade 🧐 To free up a few carts in the morning we have a few of the greens Mowers walk out and cut some of the greens closer to the shop So I fabricated a rake holder but then realized they needed to accommodate a leaf rake as well 💥2.0 Version😀

He started out as a journalist but then discovered the turf world, fell in love with it and he hasn't looked back since. Tommy705 is in his second season at Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club and is taking full advantage of his internship. #DTMInternshipUpdates

After going on a field trip to Burlington Golf & Country Club, Devyn Pohar knew that he had to do his internship there. So he joined the turf crew under the tutelage of his soon-to-be teacher Dean Baker (@BGCCTURF). #DTMInternshipUpdates

Happy #ThankASuper Day! GCSAA is proud and appreciative of superintendent members for stepping up to advocate for the game and for working under unprecedented parameters to maintain quality conditions for golfers to enjoy a safe respite from the pandemic’s stress.

A big THANK YOU to all you golf course superintendents out there. I'm glad there is a day to recognize everything you do. As a golfer and a turfgrass researcher, I am lucky to see first-hand how your hard work and dedication day after day and year and year improve so many lives!

Spring prep and projects are going well ⁦@BayviewClub⁩ - topdressing, deeptine, brush and roll on greens complete and #11 cart path extension continues.

The Green Team @BayviewClub has been hard at work ensuring that the course and property is maintained/prepared for our hopeful impending return to golf. Over 200 tons of sand has been added to bunkers- all by shovel, and most touched by these three above. Just an awesome effort
