A pretty good return to work - long-tailed duck flew right in front of me then just kept diving and swimming closer.

If 2024 has more swims like today then I'd like that ☺️

What a cool sight this evening!! I've now learned that they are nacreous clouds which have smaller ice particles than normal and reflect light differently creating an effect I couldn't quite capture on my phone below...
