This picture both beautiful and so moving.

That change is possible and that the work of Davenant 📸 to document with proper anger and deep compassion has been a witness and is a case for change.

I will be photographing four young people with lived experience of being refugees this week for my Journeys project. I’m going to be careful about what images I share on here from the project due to the extreme polarisation on this emotive subject.

Of all of the thousands of photos I took for the Outsiders project this one is my favourite, Uche next to her substandard housing photo at the Outsiders exhibition in Parliament in January. She was rehoused and is now in good quality accommodation.

It would be great to understand what magical powers left wing people are allegedly using to cause such damage to the country when they haven’t been elected into power with a proper working majority since 1966.

People who blame ‘the left’ for everything conveniently forget that in the hundreds of years since Parliament was established Britain has only ever had a socialist government with a working majority for 11 years, during which they gave us the NHS and the welfare state.

There is a new, highly profitable asset class in England, traded between corporations, whose units are each worth £100,000 on the books. What are these units? Children in care.
An almost unbelievable story. But all too real.

An Essex businessman who won government contracts paying his company £3.5m a day for transporting and accommodating asylum seekers has been named among the 350 richest people in the UK.

Very proud of how much meaningful paid work the museum now provides for the community
It was run voluntary for so long but I am very proud we are employing people as well as offering meaningful volunteering ❤️

Naturally, we could not improve on the pitch-perfect response by protesters yesterday to Suella Braverman MP
- it was both hilarious & powerful. But we figured we'd try to commemorate it somehow through music (tho not a shanty). Here's to the silent treatment. Long may it continue.

For whatever reason if you don’t have gatekeepers, journalists or curators in your network then the most likely outcome from contacting them cold is being totally ignored. Nine out of ten of the emails I sent in the early days of Outsiders were ignored completely with no reply.
