Doing jobs this morning I listened to BBC Radio 4 and The Reunion with michael sheen 💙 and others involved in creating The Passion of Port Talbot.

I found myself in tears at the ambition and impact, doing what the arts do best.

Humbling, loving. Thank you.

After the daffodils, the dandelions. Close behind, the bluebells and stitchwort, and then wild garlic, galaxies of white stars in dark woodlands, leading the way for froths of cow parsley and acres of buttercups. I feel so lucky to be able to tell the time with flowers.

Sharing this blog from a young dyspraxic person on why the loss of a dedicated charity for Dyspraxia is felt so deeply by the individuals and community it supported.

So many charities like this one facing precarious financial times, putting at risk their extraordinary work. 💔

Utterly joyful.

From the past injustices of the Bantu Education Act to this celebration of achievement.

South Africa, the continent and the world need educated young leaders who want to build a better future.

“We should care about the health of all disciplines at our universities for their own sakes – not least because I’m pretty sure that if you stop caring about scholarship in its broadest sense, you will end up not caring about too many other valuable things.”

Good morning from the beautiful Peak District National Park

Preparing for 10 days of travel ahead, but trying to make time to soak up the Spring between the packing.

With thanks as always to peaklass for capturing the gentle loveliness.

Wonderful work being done by The Migraine Trust on understanding and accomodation, but this often begins with GPs who may have limited training on chronic migraine themselves.

It can take years to access a specialist. Any change in system will need care not to exacerbate this.

Painful cartoon from Matt Cartoons

I’ve been thinking about autistic people who may find it incredibly difficult to visit a GP at all for sensory reasons, how much it being known matters.

How would introducing an unknown assessor help. Many won’t seek help at all.
