In 2014 life dealt me an out of the blue, terrifying, life-changing experience.
It shattered me into pieces.

My reaction to it was grossly misunderstood by my peers, and by colleagues I had previously trusted too.

Rescued a dog from Dogs Trust in Liverpool. He didn't seem to understand us much & we thought it was because he wasn't used to the commands/words. Turns out he understands us better when we talk in a Scouse accent, so we've had to teach ourselves to speak Scouse for the dog.

2million is the TOTAL number of A&E attendances a month & it hasn’t risen
Oh and there are less GPs compared to an increase in hospital staff

Dear RCGP

1. If YOU believe 50 hours of CPD equates to 2 year of generalist training for GPs, then say so.

2. When the public wants to see a GP- are they seeing:
a) General Practitioner
b) Generalist Practitioner [See Keele University 🐿️ ]

This is YOUR profession, not mine.

Simple fact :

You cannot run GP surgeries, which deal with 1.3 million patients a day in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, on a 1.9% uplift.

This is a cut in real terms.

We have fewer GP surgeries now. More will close.

If #TeamGP fails, #NHS fails.

We need a sustainable & thriving General Practice.

I am a doctor. It's true, we have terrible hand writing. In fact I often find notes around the house with todo's scribbled on them that I cant read. These things haunt me for days.

I was very happy to share my experience, it was very telling that so few people were willing to go on record with their experiences.

The NHS is a toxic place, and we have a long way to go to make it right.
