We have listened to concerns regarding graffiti and criminal damage caused to buildings in the lead up to Notting Hill Carnival. As a result we will have local officers patrolling in the Notting Hill area to deter, disrupt, and respond to any cases of criminal damage.

Our specially trained #ProjectServator officers joined up with their counterparts from City of London Police conducting deployments on the roads and in travel hubs. We are on the lookout for suspicious behaviour and can appear across London at any time, aiming to keep London safe for all.

We'll be using Live Facial Recognition technology at key locations in Westminster on 22nd August. This technology helps keep Londoners safe, and will be used to find people who threaten or cause harm, those who are wanted, or have outstanding arrest warrants issued by the court.

A section 60 order, providing officers with additional search powers, will be in force in the Carnival area until 2am. A section 60AA order is also in force, providing officers with the power to order the removal of face coverings being used to conceal a person's identity.
