Being admitted to an inpatient mental health unit is not 'playing the mental health card.' I work in them, and I admit people to them. It is not something done lightly. Intentionally or not, you are playing into the very stigma that harms many. Respectfully, rethink.

Our message to Steve Barclay, the Health Secretary.

MPs are supposed to represent us. We’re supposed to be able to hold them to a high standard. They’re supposed to be engaged with the issues that really matter to people. This one (MP for Bassetlaw) thinks it’s acceptable to mock people seeking #mentalhealth support.

If you could give one message to a young person struggling with depression, what would you say?

Trans ppl are at a higher risk of mental health issues, mainly because of the prejudice they face. This response from MPs to a report of a trans person feeling suicidal is absolutely disgraceful.

Big news broke this weekend - the Met have said as of September they intend to answer fewer #mentalhealth emergency call outs. Here’s our founder Natasha Devon 🌈💙 on @lbc discussing this and asking what is going to replace the police to assist those in crisis?

These people work in education. One of them was the government’s social mobility tsar. Look how they use mental health related slurs to try and deflect criticism. (This is in relation to backlash after KB tweeted a picture of Tina Turner with her abuser titled ‘good times 👍🏽’)
