“The thing with #ChronicPain is that it is utterly exhausting. I’m not talking “a little bit tiring,” I’m talking the kind of tiredness that no amount of sleep seems to cure. The kind of tired which makes every single atom of your body ache and cry out.” buff.ly/3DpxZuI

It's time to talk about the headaches, the fatigue, the brain fog, the weakness. That's your mitochondria breaking down from malnutrition. You can't tough out mitochondrial fragmentation. You can't CBT it away. You can't graded exercise it away.

🚨UPDATE 🚨 The consultations for the closure of ticket offices have been extended to September 1. This is a victory for everyone who showed the inaccessibility of the consultations, yet the proposals remain discriminatory to disabled people. We fight on! ow.ly/XC6V50PlEFX

My honest opinion is that wheelchair users should get concessions on airfares as well as help with carer tickets. We do not get an equal service, bottom line. Why should we pay the same fare as those who don't get treated like a piece of luggage? bbc.co.uk/news/disabilit…

The search for #LongCovid treatments needs to be treated with the same urgency as acute Covid. We applaud this excellent editorial highlighting the lack of treatment trials 👏

Shame on trains. CrossCountry Trains - Less than 1% wheelchair spaces (2 spaces on a 246 seat train) London North Eastern Railway - Less than 1% wheelchair spaces (4 spaces on a 611 seat) Lumo Less than 1% wheelchair spaces (2 spaces on a 400 seat)

Kate Stanforth (@katestanforth) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The story goes, I can’t get to work. The wheelchair spaces are all taken 2 weeks ahead. Less than 1% of spaces being suitable for wheelchairs is simply not enough. With 1 in 4 having a disability, and a growing number using mobility aids, it’s time to adapt these trains.

Children deserve protection in school. We will not give up when it comes to this issue. As long as Covid is causing multiple waves a year, we will be here calling out the mistakes. #cleanairclassrooms #cleanair #longcovid

Whilst you’re watching the #Paralympics please remember that ordinary disabled people are still facing systematic ableism everyday. The Paralympics are an accessible bubble, society is not

Friendly reminder to the British media that the next week is not the only time to hire disabled journalists. Disabled people are for life, not just for the Paralympics.

Please get involved in this study! Retweet/share/tag! "The British Psychological Society (BPS) is working with people with #MECFS, Action for ME and the ME Association to produce good practice guidelines for psychologists working with people who have ME/CFS." Otherwise... CBT?

Unpaid carers literally prevent the social care system from collapsing. Disabled people spend lots of money to keep people in jobs and the economy going.

A presenter on Channel 4 has just said a cyclist's "cerebral palsy was so bad he couldn't even ride a bike until he was 13" What a ridiculous, ableist, ignorant comment from someone who should know better

Remember👇 M&S reply that they need until 30th Sept to ‘investigate’ in response to my Letter Before Action. If they need longer they will let me know, they say. Well not my first rodeo M&S, I know you are trying to run out the ⏰ & I know when to file with the court.⚖️
