This next part of the story only a handful of people in the world have I ever told mostly because it's very hard to understand just know this if you've been following along. It was always my choices. Hold on to your seats you're not going to believe this.

The year is 1996 I found myself at the most debaucherous rave held in the Olympia national rainforest they were naked girls skippin through the forest baskets full of drugs there were people openly having sex on stumps n logs. I had taken some mushrooms and the vibe was dark. tbc

I couldn't help it it was overwhelming it was like there was this sense of darkness it felt satanic it's the only way I can describe it. It struck me as lawless and flooded with the pleasures of the flesh. I felt out of place I was obsessed with the idea of making a change.

It's now 5:00 a.m. in the morning downtown somewhere near pioneer square my friends dropped me off and all headed home I chose to go off on my own. I remember standing on an overpass as the sun came up I rose my hands to the sky and asked if God exists show me. Give me a sign.

Later that day while walking down the street I was stopped by a man with a full length beard dressed in these weird long garments. Imagine a traditional Muslim type of apparel. His next question would change my life for the next 5 years and then for the rest of my life.

The gentleman stopped me abruptly and asked "may I ask you a question" I replied of course. He asked" does right and wrong exist" shocked by his question I answered well yes right and wrong does exist. He then said " then who makes the rules" then it hit me. The sign.

Jeremiah and I began a discussion that lasted for the next 6 hours into the night. Discussing the purpose of life what right and wrong means what is truth what is who is God. His argument was so compelling it caused me to question everything I knew. It was like a checkmate.

Speaking with Jeremiah for the next 3 days he explained that he was part of a small nomadic Church a group of about 100 spread thru the country their doctrine revolved around complete and utter devotion to holiness and service to God. A complete disconnect from secular society

I spent the next 5 years completely and utterly devoted to their ways of life. A life of complete monasticism an ascetic way of living. A life of prayer a life of fasting. No longer working for money no longer to have the need for money a life of faith. No drugs no smoking no sex

The small group of people about a 100 in total spread out all over the country they would often travel in pairs either by foot hitchhiking or by bicycle from state to state gathering in different camps all around the nation. I rode a bicycle across the country for the next 5 yrs

Among many things this group taught me how to live outside of society through trade and scavenging they showed me how to gather food from grocery store dumpsters, dumpsters filled with food dented cans torn bags bruised bananas. I ate every meal out of the garbage for 5 yrs

Denying physical desire is harder than you think. I spent the next 5 yrs doing just that. Drawing closer to my spirit to my soul to my consciousness. Imagine the life of a monk that rides his bike everywhere he goes lives in the woods and scavenges off of the wasteful.That was me

Once again I'm telling these stories in an effort to connect, to relate. localsonly_Sean and I are medicine men. Cannabis is more than meets the eye. The plant brings us all some form of relief,realization and enjoyment. Locals only is more than a "weed brand" folks.
