Shame on you, Governor. This will raise New Yorkers' energy bills, it will make our homes less healthy, and it will delay our path to a future free from fossil fuels. You are selling out our futures to oil and gas execs. timesunion.com/capitol/articl…

Another example of Governor Kathy Hochul siding with the oil and gas industry against her own energy affordability agenda: earthjustice.org/press/2025/gov…

Not delayed in NYC, where Local Law 154 has been in effect for a couple years now! NYCers in new buildings will save money, get less pollution.

The only “affordability” the Governor seems to stand for is for the oil and gas industry - the best way for the Governor to cut energy bills for NYers would be aggressively pursuing renewables and moving the state away from costly gas.

"Only" is crazy. If we reduced air pollution across the world by 22% we would save hundreds of thousands of lives from lung and hear diseases.

Via The New York Times Hilary Howard: Governor Kathy Hochul has spent the past year running from energy affordability and the state’s climate law. Over 200 people will be in Albany today calling on Hochul to take a step in the right direction by signing the 100’ rule. nytimes.com/2025/12/11/nyr…

Advocates are now gathered in the War Room at the Capitol (just outside the Governors Office) for a final push as the clock ticks down on a decision from Gov. Hochul

Here with around 200 New Yorkers demanding Governor Kathy Hochul tackles their rising energy bills by signing the 100-foot rule. Signing would save ratepayers $600M annually!

Big win for ratepayers!!! $600M saved on energy bills every year instead of lining the wallets of utility and fossil fuel CEOs!
