I have written to the Chancellor requesting extra funding for healthcare spending in Wales. Delivering healthcare here is more expensive because of the rural geography and elderly population. I will keep fighting for a fair deal for our local NHS.

Today I will be voting against Labour's plans to cut the winter fuel allowance. In my own consituency 21,193 pensioners could loose their support payments in an area of the country with extremely old housing stock & poor insulation rates. Removing this support is wrong.

In modern Britain no household should be struggling to connect to the internet. Broadband connections in rural areas are vital for delivering economic growth and ensuring rural residents can access the internet seamlessly. I hope the government will fund ‘hard to reach’ areas.
